Frequently asked questions
Which characters must be escaped in HTML?
At minimum &, < and >, plus " and ' inside attribute values. This tool escapes all five by default.
Should I encode non-English characters?
Usually not, as long as your page uses UTF-8. Turn on “Encode all non-ASCII” only if the text goes somewhere that can’t handle UTF-8.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. HushConverts converts everything with code that runs in your browser, so your text and files stay on your device. You can even use most tools offline once the page has loaded.
