How to use the WebP to JPG tool
- Drop your WebP files onto the box.
- Adjust quality and background color if needed.
- Download each JPG or all as a ZIP.
Why do I keep getting WebP images?
Websites increasingly serve WebP because it’s 25–35% smaller than JPG at similar quality, so pages load faster. When you save an image from a website, you often get a .webp file. Browsers open it fine, but some older photo editors, upload forms, printing services and messaging apps don’t accept it.
Converting without surprises
- Quality: 85–90% keeps the image looking the same as the WebP.
- Transparency: JPG has none, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose. Use WebP to PNG to keep transparency.
- Animation: animated WebP files become a single still image, using the first frame.
- Batches: drop several files and download them together as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I open a WebP image?
Some older programs and devices don’t support WebP. Converting to JPG fixes that.
What happens to transparency?
Transparent areas are filled with the background color you pick, since JPG can’t store transparency.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. HushConverts converts everything with code that runs in your browser, so your text and files stay on your device. You can even use most tools offline once the page has loaded.
