How to use the Age Calculator tool
- Enter the date of birth.
- Change “Age on” if you want the age on a date other than today.
- Read the age and the totals below.
How age is counted
Age is counted in completed years, then completed months, then the remaining days. If someone was born on 15 March 2000, they are 26 years old from 15 March 2026 until the day before their next birthday. When the day of the month hasn’t been reached yet, the days are counted from the same date in the previous month.
Useful extras
- Age on a past or future date: change the “Age on” date to check an age requirement on a specific day.
- Total days and weeks are handy for milestones such as 10,000 days old.
- Next birthday shows the date, the weekday and how many days remain.
To count the time between any two dates, use the Date Difference Calculator.
