How to use the QR Code Reader tool
- Drop an image containing a QR code, or paste a screenshot.
- The decoded text or link appears below.
- Copy it, or check the link before opening it.
When a QR reader on your computer helps
- A QR code arrives in an email, a PDF or a screenshot and you’re already at your computer.
- You want to check where a code leads before scanning it with your phone.
- You need the Wi-Fi password or text stored in a code you made earlier.
Tips for a successful scan
Crop the image so the code is large and fully visible, including the blank border around it. Avoid glare and blur. Codes printed light on dark are supported. Need to make a code instead? Use the QR Code Generator.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t it find my QR code?
Try a sharper image where the code is larger and not cut off. Strong glare, heavy blur or a very small code in a big photo make detection harder.
Is it safe to open the link?
Check the address first. QR codes can point to any website, including scams. This tool shows the full link so you can look before you click.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. HushConverts converts everything with code that runs in your browser, so your text and files stay on your device. You can even use most tools offline once the page has loaded.
